Church Referral

Over the coming months we will identify specific churches around New Zealand that we would recommend you check out.

For now however we would recommend you look out for the following things. Please note: No church will be strong in all these areas but hopefully sufficiently visitor focused for you to feel comfortable.

  1. Does the church have a Kids programme on Sunday mornings that for your children love to attend?
  2. Has the church adopted current ‘child safety and protection’ policies. You should ask if in doubt?
  3. Does the adult service respect your time and intelligence, from the opening words or song to the closing prayer?
  4. Is the preaching and/or teaching from the Pastor understandable and helpful for you?
  5. Are the church people friendly and welcoming without being over enthusiastic and ‘clammy’?
  6. Is the Pastor available to talk to before or after a church service?
  7. Does the church ‘feel’ a good place for you to attend and enjoy with your family and maybe your friends as well?
